Diet For Kidney Diseases
Kidneys are the important part of the body, because these eliminate most of the poisonous elements via urine, beside this kidneys are also important factors because these maintain the buffer system of the body- so that neither excessive salts & water will be lodged inside the body nor should be there depletion.
Diet for kidney problems is an important issue because we eliminate and excrete on the basis of the same what we eat regularly so diet should be maintained in case of the kidney problems. Here are the basic principles of dietary management in case of kidney problems-
Foods which are permitted:
- Bread or chapattis of wheat, rice, jowar, bajra or ragi.
- Breakfast cereal of wheat, rice oatmeal or maize
- Rice, cooked
- Pulses (dal) or beans
- Vegetable salad
- Vegetables, cooked
- Potato, sweet potato, or jam
- Soup
- Meat, fish or chicken –liberally
- Eggs
- Milk or milk products
- Cooking fat or butter
- Sugar, jiggery or honey
- Jam or murabba
- Pastries without salt
- Dessert
- Sweet or sweetmeats Fruits, fresh
- Nuts
- Beverages
Foods which should be excluded:
- Condiments and spices
- Papad, Chutney or pickles
- Water restricted In edematous stage
