Avascular Necrosis (AVN) - Patient Case Study

Patient: 39 Year Male

Patient Baseline

A middle-aged businessman with an active professional and social life suddenly began experiencing pain in the right hip. Within a few days, his mobility was severely restricted, and every consultation with orthopedic specialists ended with a familiar list of prohibitions: “Don’t stand for long. Don’t walk. Avoid stairs. Use a wheelchair. Plan for surgery — sooner or later.” The diagnosis on MRI — Early AVN changes in the right femoral head — came as a shock. The patient was told there was no possibility of cure and that the disease would inevitably progress to collapse of the hip joint, leaving Total Hip Replacement (THR) as the only option. Disheartened by these restrictions and lack of hope, Mr. Shukla approached Sukhayu Ayurved, Jaipur for a non-surgical, regenerative Ayurvedic alternative.

  • Lepana: Local application of herbal pastes mixed with Kanjika/Ghritam and Tailam.
  • Kashaya Seka: For blood purification - sarwanga dhara with medicated decoction.
  • Pind Swedana: To improve deep tissue blood supply and to strengthen muscules
  • Nadee Swedana: For removal of toxins and improvement of blood supply
