Ayurvedic Herb Library
This is not a list of miracle herbs. It is an introduction to the pharmacopoeia behind Sukhayu Ayurved treatment protocols and the clinical thinking that guides herb selection.
The herbs we prescribe, and what they do
In Ayurveda, a herb is selected for its guna (quality) and its action on vata, pitta, and kapha. What works, in what dose, and in what combination always depends on the individual condition and dosha state.
How to understand an herb profile
Botanical name
The Latin identifier makes a herb unambiguous across systems and allows it to be cited in scientific literature and research.
Dosha action
This describes which of the three doshas a herb primarily influences. Most herbs work across more than one dosha, depending on the formulation and clinical context.
Clinical use
A herb may appear in a protocol for particular conditions, but this is not its full traditional scope and should never be treated as self-prescription guidance.
Diagnosis comes first
A herb is only as good as the diagnosis behind it. The right herb, dose, and combination depend on your specific condition, disease stage, and dosha state.
Talk to a physician if you would like clinical guidance for your condition.
Important: This library is for general educational reference. Ayurvedic herbs should be used under the guidance of a qualified physician; dosage, combination, and suitability vary by individual and condition.
