Frequently Asked Questions

Can Ayurveda cure Parkinson’s disease?

At Sukhayu Ayurveda we don’t claim a "cure" for Parkinson's disease. The main aim is to focus on stabilizing progression, improving motor functions, and enhancing overall quality of life. Even the complex surgeries like - DBS are not able to answer the complexity of Parkinson's disease- which Ayurveda ensures properly.

How long does it take to see results?

The timeline for experiencing noticeable improvements with Ayurvedic treatment for Parkinson's can vary significantly from person to person. It depends on several factors, including the individual's age, the severity and duration of the disease, their overall health, and their adherence to the prescribed treatment plan, including diet and lifestyle modifications. Generally, some improvements in symptoms like sleep quality and digestion may be observed within a few weeks, while more significant neurological benefits may take several months of consistent treatment. Visible improvement usually appears within the ongoing Panchakarma schedule in most of the cases. Markable changes start appearing in 2–3 months, though complete neurological restoration requires 12+ months. Post 12 months most the patients report decreased dependency of medicines.

Is Ayurvedic treatment safe with allopathic medicines?

Yes. We guide gradual tapering only after observing stability and under physician supervision. An integrated approach can often lead to better management of symptoms and a reduction in the side effects of conventional drugs. However, this should always be done under the supervision of both your neurologist and a qualified Ayurvedic physician to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Can Ayurveda reverse Parkinson’s completely?

Ayurveda aims to reverse degeneration to the extent possible, improve function, and slow progression—not offer overnight recovery.
