Patient Baseline
A 28-year-old male software engineer visited Sukhayu Ayurved, Jaipur with complaints of persistent pain in the middle back, neck, and lower back, accompanied by extreme tiredness throughout the day. His lifestyle included irregular work hours, late-night shifts, and erratic meals — leading to a disturbed biological clock and chronic sleep deprivation.
He also reported loss of appetite, poor digestion, heaviness in the body, and reduced concentration at work.
Despite normal radiological findings, his pain and fatigue were disproportionate to physical strain, suggesting neuro-muscular dysfunction and metabolic derangement.
Ayurvedic assessment revealed Aama accumulation (metabolic toxins) and Vata-Kapha aggravation, consistent with Aamavata-like pathology, where Aama obstructs Vata in the Srotas, causing generalized pain, stiffness, and fatigue.
Panchakarma Protocols
- Deepana–Pachana: Initial phase with mild digestive and metabolic enhancers to clear Aama and improve appetite.
- Abhyanga: Full-body medicated oil massage to relax muscles and enhance microcirculation.
- Swedana (Nadi & Bashpa Sweda): Steam therapies to expel accumulated toxins and relieve stiffness.
- Kashaya Basti and Anuvasana Basti: Medicated decoction and oil enemas to pacify Vata, detoxify the colon, and restore nervous coordination.
- Patra Pinda Swedana: Herbal bolus fomentation to strengthen muscle tone and alleviate deep-seated pain.
- Shirodhara: Medicated oil stream over the forehead to stabilize sleep cycles and calm the mind.
