Ankylosing Spondylitis: Case Study (19 Year Old Female)
Baseline Condition
A 19-year-old female presented at Sukhayu Ayurved with complaints of:
- Persistent lower back pain and stiffness
- Morning stiffness in spine and joints
- Difficulty in prolonged sitting and bending
- General fatigue and weakness
- Reduced physical endurance
The patient had already been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis and was under conventional treatment before visiting Sukhayu Ayurved. Before coming for Ayurvedic treatment, the patient had been taking conventional medications including:
- Sulfasalazine (SAZ)
- Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ)
- Supportive anti-inflammatory medicines
Despite regular medication, symptoms persisted and inflammatory markers remained significantly elevated.
